Doula

With you from pregnancy through postpartum.

  • As a doula, I guide families through the perinatal period. I emphasize that birth is a physiological process and support all types of births. I provide education and resources during pregnancy so you can make informed decisions.

  • I provide hands-on support during labor. Continuous support decreases the likelihood of requesting pain medication, as well as reduces the risk of instrumental and cesarean births.

Those who hire a doula are:

    • 34% more likely to rate their childbirth experience positively

    • 31% less likely to have a cesarean birth

    • 28% less likely to use Pitocin

  • I am a resource after birth as you navigate postpartum healing, breastfeeding, infant care, and hormonal changes. Few people have the support they need during this transitional period. May you feel prepared and confident!
